We use an assortment of quality binders for A Gardener's Journal—each has heavy duty nylon fabric securely stitched over a plastic base.  Washable - inside & out.  Front covers fold completely to the back to provide easy note taking while in the garden.

CUSTOMER REVIEW on 5-2-2010, "I was searching for a good gardening journal for years . . one complete with a section for planning gardens, scheduling tasks, recording growth, production and weather, etc. I was becoming frustrated because all the garden journals I could find where missing one or some of these important aspects. Then, I came across this one. It is perfect! It has all the technical, record-keeping and planning pages that I need, as well as the more traditional aspects of monthly "to do" lists and pages for keeping detailed notes.

This is a journal for a serious gardener, who needs a fully-functional garden log and planner. It's not one of those countless other commercial gardening journals, which are pretty much just a collection of bound, lined pages, scattered with useless anecdotal gardening quotes, and a pretty picture of a garden on the front cover.

What I especially like, is that this journal will provide me with years and years of record-keeping, garden rotation planning, and all the other things I need to keep track of. It can continue expanding as much as I need, as I can easily order additional copies of various sections if needed. I also like that I can organize the pages myself (and add extra pages, sections, notes) in a way that makes sense to ME, not just the publisher. I imagine I'll be using this for the next 30 years!"
